Thoughts for February

February is the month for thinking about love in many ways.

Valentine’s Day highlights romantic love. God’s love is all around us, and we stop to notice.

What ways have we offered love today? When did we feel the most love today? Or this week? How has love been demonstrated to us? How do we best demonstrate love?

Best-selling author Dr. Gary Chapman writes about the five languages of love with giving gifts, spending time, the power of touch, affirming words, and helpful serving. God’s great love for us is even better than all the expressions of love we offer and receive. God IS love. As we give and receive love in practical ways we can enjoy the days ahead.

In the month of February, please pause to remember that you are loved and you are called to share love with others who need to know they are loved.

Blessings, Chaplain Nancy
